About Us

The Surf City All Stars present a tribute centered on the music of The Beach Boys, with a lineup drawn from players and lead vocalists who have performed in both the Beach Boys band and the Jan & Dean band.
Clients also have the option to add two Original Beach Boys to the lineup for an extra fee: Al Jardine and David Marks.
Gary Griffin handles keys and vocals and started recording and touring with the Beach Boys in the 70s. Philip Bardowell plays guitar and sings vocals, and was hand picked by Carl Wilson for the Beach Boys band in the 90s. Drummer David Logeman was hired by Mike Love in 1994. Chris Farmer plays bass and sings vocals, and toured for 12 years as musical director for the Beach Boys. Aaron Broering, on guitar, keys, and vocals, is the newest vocalist in the group.
The band states that Mike Love and Brian Wilson taught them their vocals. Al Jardine and David Marks continue to tour with the All Stars as an added-fee option.
Al Jardine said, The SURF CITY ALLSTARS sound as good as the Original Beach Boys EVER did! David Marks said, I love performing with the SURF CITY ALLSTARS. They are the best Beach Boys band on the planet. Dean Torrence said, I have worked with the SURF CITY ALLSTARS for 30 years!
