About Us
Ted Vigil is a John Denver tribute artist from Rochester, Washington with decades of performance experience. His credits include first place at Talent Quest 2006, two performances for the Windstar Foundation, and Australia’s 20-city Kings of Country Tour.
Ted Vigil presents a John Denver tribute built on long experience as a singer, songwriter, drummer, and vocalist. Born in Seattle and raised in the Olympia area, he has been performing since age ten, including throughout school in concert, symphonic, and jazz bands.
In 2006, he competed in Talent Quest in Laughlin, Nevada against performers from 28 states, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada, and took first place. He also won KOMO TV 4’s NW Afternoon Celebrity Look Alike contest and has performed twice for John Denver’s Windstar Foundation in Aspen, Colorado.
His credits also include a Caribbean cruise with Darryl Worley and Jimmy Wayne on a Travelin’ Inc. country cruise hosted by Great American Country’s Storme Warren. In 2012, he received the Rising Legend Award from the National Traditional Country Music Association.
From 2010 to 2014, Ted performed with the late Steve Weisberg, John Denver’s lead guitar player. Weisberg said, Apparently the audience thinks they all look and sound like John. I don’t see it. I see it with Ted. A very strong physical resemblance... Uncanny!
In 2016, Ted joined the Kings of Country Tour in Australia alongside Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and John Denver tribute artists, touring 20 cities coast to coast.
He now performs internationally for a wide range of venues and events and has sold out theatres across the US. Audience feedback often centers on how closely he looks and sounds like John Denver and how strongly the show brings people back to that music.

“Ted is a true musician. He doesn't just look like John Denver and lip sync the songs. Ted has a powerful, rich voice which he joyfully shares. One thing I noticed, too, is that he smiles the whole time he is performing. He told me after the show that he smiles because he loves what he does. What a treat. If you haven't seen him perform, don't miss out the next time he is in your area. You will be glad you did and take home many sweet memories.”
— Reed Family“Ted Vigil gave an amazing performance. He was so charming and seemed to really enjoyed himself and his energy was contagious. As John Denver, I could not have asked for more. His resemblance to John Denver was right on and several times I forgot that it was Ted Vigil standing before me. When my husband and I married 49 years ago, John Denver music was our theme. Thanks Ted for a great performance, for bringing back lots of great memories and helping to created new ones. Blessings to you.”
