Ted Vigil presents a John Denver tribute built on long experience as a singer, songwriter, drummer, and vocalist. Born in Seattle and raised in the Olympia area, he has been performing since age ten, including throughout school in concert, symphonic, and jazz bands. In 2006, he competed in Talent Quest in Laughlin, Nevada against performers from 28 states, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada, and took first place. He also won KOMO TV 4’s NW Afternoon Celebrity Look Alike contest and has performed twice for John Denver’s Windstar Foundation in Aspen, Colorado. His credits also include a Caribbean cruise with Darryl Worley and Jimmy Wayne on a Travelin’ Inc. country cruise hosted by Great American Country’s Storme Warren. In 2012, he received the Rising Legend Award from the National Traditional Country Music Association. From 2010 to 2014, Ted performed with the late Steve Weisberg, John Denver’s lead guitar player. Weisberg said, Apparently the audience thinks they all look and sound like John. I don’t see it. I see it with Ted. A very strong physical resemblance... Uncanny! In 2016, Ted joined the Kings of Country Tour in Australia alongside Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and John Denver tribute artists, touring 20 cities coast to coast. He now performs internationally for a wide range of venues and events and has sold out theatres across the US. Audience feedback often centers on how closely he looks and sounds like John Denver and how strongly the show brings people back to that music.
