Substance is a San Diego-based New Order tribute band, now in its 6th year. The band performs 60 to 95 minute sets, draws from 3+ hours of material, and includes classic Joy Division songs that New Order still plays live today.
Substance is a New Order tribute focused on recreating the band’s 1980s sound with close attention to detail. Now in their sixth year, they’ve played packed shows at well-known venues across the USA and Mexico. Typical performances run 60–95 minutes, with more than three hours of material to draw from, including classic Joy Division songs New Order still play live. The set includes New Order’s classic, instantly recognizable hits—giving dedicated fans detailed recreation and casual fans the songs they grew up on.
