Roll On - The Tribute To Alabama recreates the look and sound of an Alabama concert from the 1980s and 1990s.
The band is made up of veteran professional musicians from the Pacific Northwest. Lead singer Brian Pelky first saw Alabama in concert in 1982 at age 16. That experience shaped him deeply, and he learned guitar by listening to Alabama’s albums.
In 2020, Pelky formed Roll On with fellow bandmate and bassist Jerry Hatcher. When singer, lead guitarist, and fiddler Doug Reeder joined, the group had the lineup it needed to move forward. They then spent months in intense vocal rehearsals, working carefully on the details and nuances of the vocal parts.
The show centers mostly on Alabama’s #1 hits from the 1980s and 1990s, including Tennessee River, Mountain Music, Love In The First Degree, Old Flame, Closer You Get, Lady Down On Love, Can’t Keep a Good Man Down, If Yer Gonna Play In Texas, and Roll On, along with more of the songs audiences know from that era.
For buyers looking for a clear Alabama tribute with a defined era, recognizable set list, and a band built around detailed vocal work, Roll On is easy to place and easy to understand at a glance.
