Oklahoma City-based Philip Bauer performs a Johnny Cash tribute backed by decades of stage experience. His career began with a Minnesota State Fair win in 1985, followed by nightly fair performances in 1986 with a 40-piece orchestra.
Phillip Bauer is a Johnny Cash tribute singer-songwriter who began his career in 1985 by winning a statewide talent contest in Minnesota. He placed first among more than 800 contestants at the Minnesota State Fair and was invited to perform nightly at the 1986 fair with a 40-piece orchestra. His original songs have been played on more than 300 country music stations across Europe. During the 1990s, Bauer performed in bands featuring his own music and impersonations of various artists.
