Band story and booking context
Los Angeles-based NERD HALEN is a Van Halen tribute fronted by Hal Sparks, combining the band’s music with nerdy comedy. The lineup includes Caleb Rapoport, who is listed on the EVH Gear artist roster.
Nerd Halen is a Van Halen tribute led by actor, comedian and host Hal Sparks, with guitarist Caleb Rapoport. The show combines high-energy Van Halen music with nerdy intellectual comedy and laugh-out-loud moments, while maintaining a serious commitment to the original recordings. Victor Broden handles bass, musical direction and Van Halen high harmonies, while Jeff Page plays the Alex Van Halen drum parts. The result is a comedy-driven rock show built around musical replication and a clear Van Halen focus.

“We like coverbands. Nerd Halen nailed it. Great band, vocals, and covers of the Van Halen songs. Very funny, punny, and nerdy. Definitely recommend to see live.”
— TnT Boise“Nerd Halen is not just a regular cover band, they are a blast. Bonus is they are one of the best VH cover bands out there. They don't shy away from any VH Hits. DLR and Hagar era both get represented here. Caleb lays down the EVH riffs like few can.”

Great concert, seems like great guys as we got to talk with a couple of them after the concert. The sound system at the Gala showroom didn't do them any favors. I would go see them again if we got the opportunity.
