About Us
Formed in 2010 in Los Angeles, HURRIKANE is a Scorpions tribute focused on recreating the songs, stage moves, and onstage character of the original band, with a set built around major hits and deeper cuts.
HURRIKANE is a Los Angeles-based Scorpions tribute band formed in 2010. The band takes its name from Rock You Like a Hurricane, the landmark Scorpions song from the 1984 album Love at First Sting, and focuses on reproducing the songs as they were originally created and performed by the Scorpions.
The show is built around the power and energy associated with the Scorpions, with close attention to technical details, choreographies, and stage moves. HURRIKANE also centers its performance on character impersonation, with each musician recreating their respective Scorpions role onstage.
Their set includes Scorpions staples such as Rock You Like a Hurricane, No One Like You, In Trance, Big City Nights, The Zoo, Holiday, Bad Boys Running Wild, Still Loving You, Blackout, Dynamite, and Wind of Change, along with dozens of other songs and deeper tunes.
A notable moment for the band came on February 22, 2013, when Scorpions drummer James Kottak sat in with HURRIKANE and played two songs. Following that appearance, he gave the band his personal endorsement approval.
Lead singer Golfredo Bastida is noted in the band’s current materials for his countertenor voice in the style of Klaus Meine.
