Bio
Philip Bauer is a Johnny Cash tribute artist based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He began his career in 1985 after winning a statewide talent contest in Minnesota, taking first place against more than 800 contestants at the Minnesota State Fair.
In 1986, Bauer was invited back to perform nightly at the fair with a 40-piece orchestra. Alongside his tribute work, he is a singer-songwriter whose original songs have been played on more than 300 country music stations across Europe.
Throughout the 1990s, Bauer performed in bands playing his own material as well as his many artist impersonations. For buyers, the background is straightforward: long-running stage experience, proven contest results, and a clear Johnny Cash tribute focus.
