LOVER is a Taylor Swift tribute band based in Dallas, Texas. The act performs Taylor Swift’s songs in an unofficial capacity and has no association with Taylor Swift, her brand, or corporate entities. The project began after lead singer Charity Eden attended the Eras Tour on March 31, 2023, from a front-row floor seat about 10 feet from Taylor Swift. As ticket prices continued to rise, she set out to create a way for more fans to experience that style of show. Charity Eden is a Texas-based musician who began performing at age 7 in churches, school events, talent shows, and the local Opry in her hometown of Wylie, Texas. She earned a music degree with a voice concentration from the University of North Texas. For over 15 years, she has worked as her own bandleader and performs on guitar, piano, and bass guitar. Her background includes music theory, aural skills, leadership, and networking, and she has performed at local venues, churches, weddings, and corporate events. In 2023, she also began releasing original music under her own name. LOVER was built around an Eras Tour-inspired format with a clear focus on detail. The show was created to include every era, every costume, every iconic moment, every dance move, every mannerism, and each unique note change that Taylor performs on tour. Charity assembled a team specifically to bring that concept to the stage.
