Bio
Fast Forward is a Kenny Chesney tribute led by Derek “Cowboy Kenny” Villegas, who started his first band in 2000. Before relocating to Florida, Derek spent several years as a lead vocalist and entertainer in honky-tonks and dance halls across South Central Texas and the Texas Hill Country.
His past performances include county fairs, corporate events, concerts, and City of San Antonio events during the annual two-week Fiesta celebration in downtown San Antonio. Fiesta appearances included Oyster Bake, Farmers Market, and the Coors Light Stage at Market Square.
Derek has also appeared at private events for Oracle, Halliburton, and the IBTTA (International Bridge, Tunnel, and Turnpike Association), along with corporate performances for Meritage Homes, Legacy Homes, and The Sayfie Review.
After years of fans comparing his look and sound to Kenny Chesney, Derek launched Fast Forward and now performs as “Kenny Chesney” with the band. The show is built around a high-energy Kenny Chesney-style concert format focused on Kenny’s hits, giving buyers a clear tribute concept that fits festivals, fairs, corporate events, and private functions.
