Bio
Detroit Underground has been together since 1994 and still includes several original members. The band is built around a solid, funky rhythm section, with four seasoned players laying the foundation for its smokin' horn section.
The lineup also features male and female lead vocalists, giving the band the range to move from high-energy dance material to heart-felt ballads. Their set draws from artists such as Earth, Wind and Fire, Chaka Kahn, and Stevie Wonder, along with great Motown hits.
Detroit Underground performs for corporate functions, weddings, and fundraisers, and also plays San Diego dance clubs including Humphrey's By the Bay, Viejas Casino in the Dreamcatcher Showroom, Anthology downtown, Harrah's Casino, and Valley View Casino.
For buyers looking for a long-running cover band with experienced players, strong vocals, horns, and a dance-focused song list, Detroit Underground offers a format that fits both private events and club dates.
