Decade of Soul is a Classic Soul and Motown Review featuring Prentiss McNeil and Bruce Big Daddy Wayne, with Janelle Jones on vocals. The show draws from the music of Motown, Stax, King, Smash, and Columbia, including the sounds associated with the Funk Brothers, Booker T. and the MG’s, James Brown, and Aretha Franklin. Prentiss McNeil brings a 28-year tenure with The Drifters, while Bruce Big Daddy Wayne comes from Wilson Pickett’s Midnight Movers. The band includes vocals, bass, guitar, keyboards, drums, saxophone, and trumpet.
