The Legends Revue are Southern California’s original and most authentic Motown and Doo – Wop revue with over 20 years in the San Diego Music scene. Howard Blank, founded The Legends in 1987 and it quickly proved to be San Diego’s favorite oldies showband. Over the years, Howard has invited several area musicians to join him in The Legends including members of Sha Na Na and The Syndicate of Sound. The Legends continue to delight our many fans, and customize their shows from a full evening of Dancing to a thirty minute revue.
The Legends are currently an eight – piece show band.
Instruments include drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and sax. The High energy sound of The Legends are always a crowd pleaser and have always brought an added level of fun and excitement to any event, and for all ages. The Legends are famous for their tributes to the early 50’s – 70’s music of Rock ‘n Roll from Tina Turner, Dion, The Supremes, Frank Sinatra, The Marcels and many more with authentic sounds, wigs, costumes, and choreography. Members of The Legends have entertained at almost every Southern California venue including Sea World, La Costa Resort, Viejas, Pala, Barona and several other area casinos, country clubs, resorts, concert series and in the 65th Annual Mother Goose Parade.
The Legends have shared the stage with some very talented performers throughout the years including; The Coasters, The Drifters, The Shirelles, Martha Reeves & the Vandellas. Sharing the stage in The Fundraiser to Benefit the Brain Injured Veterans with Johnny Tillotson, Tommy Mara, Lou Christie, Ken Brady, Little Anthony, Dave Sumerville, Jocko from Sha Na Na, Sonny Turner, Lynn Anderson, Jimmy Stephens, Nancy Sinatra as well as showcasing at the San Diego Convention Center through Dick Clark Productions. They were also part of the â??Legends of Rock ‘n Rollâ? which took place at the Concord Pavilion featuring the amazing Wolfman Jack and Bobby Freeman.
The Legends consist of San Diegoâ??s finest singers and musicians, including an original member of The Outsiders (â??Time Wonâ??t Let Meâ?, 1966 ) listed in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland Ohio.
