ALT2K

San Diego’s ALT2K covers 90s and 2000s alternative rock with three booking formats: male-fronted with Eric Vaughn, female-fronted with Miranda Ramos, or a dual-vocal full showcase. Repertoire includes Nirvana, Foo Fighters, No Doubt, Paramore, Alanis Morissette, and more.

ALT2K is a San Diego cover band focused on alternative rock from the 1990s and 2000s. The set draws from the era’s best-known grunge, post-punk, pop-rock, and modern rock, built for buyers looking for a clear 90s/2000s lane rather than a mixed-format party band.

The band offers three booking formats. Eric Vaughn leads the male-fronted set, centered on grit, distortion, and rock anthems from the period. Miranda Ramos leads the female-fronted set, bringing the alt-rock vocal style associated with the women of the 90s and beyond. Miranda is the 2024 San Diego Magazine Singer/Songwriter of the Year. Buyers can also book the full showcase, with Eric and Miranda sharing lead vocals in a dual-fronted co-ed format.

ALT2K’s repertoire includes material associated with Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, No Doubt, Paramore, and Alanis Morissette, with songs such as Smells Like Teen Spirit, Machinehead, My Own Worst Enemy, Hella Good, Misery Business, and Say It Ain’t So. The set also reaches into the harmonies of Alice in Chains, the hooks of Weezer, and the heavier drive of Queens of the Stone Age and Smashing Pumpkins.

The result is a tight, high-energy rock show with a strong nostalgia angle and a format buyers can tailor to the event. From a male-led rock set to a female-vocal feature to the full dual-vocal lineup, ALT2K gives festivals, summer concert series, and amphitheater buyers a straightforward way to program 90s and 2000s alternative rock.
